Connect with Others

People come to our church for many reasons--the music, the message, the children's ministry--but one of the things that keeps them coming back is...the people. We don't underestimate the power of relationships. Your relationship with yourself, your relationship with others, or your relationship with GOD. Come join us and feel what it is like to be "connected".

Where do I go to Get Connected?

Located in the Lobby, the Connections Desk is designed to be the initial place to get connected to others in the church. This is the place where you can have a conversation face to face with a volunteer who will help you learn more about One Community Spiritual Center and what we have to offer.

How can I get Connected?

Service/Ministry:

Serving others is one of the best ways to get to know people and build valuable relationships. There are many ways to volunteer your time and skills both at One Community Spiritual Center and in our community. The following are a few volunteer opportunities.
  • Ushers — Assist people to be seated and collect the offering.

  • Greeters — Welcome people as they arrive, with a smile and a bulletin.

  • Connection Center— Answer questions, distribute guest information packets and provide assistance with special requests.

  • Congregational Care— Reach out within our church family to those who are experiencing challenges (e.g. surgeries, loss of loved ones, etc.).

  • Connections Ministry — Help church members find a place in our church family that is meaningful and fulfilling to each
    individual.

  • Facilities Ministry— Assist in maintaining our buildings and grounds.

  • Hospitality Ministry— Promote a warm, friendly environment and coordinate refreshments at various church events.

  • Weekday Hosts/Hostesses—Volunteers serve at the reception desk 4 hours a week, answer phones and assist guests.

  • “Garden Posse” - For those who love gardening...help beautify and maintain our church grounds

  • Outreach Team — Communicate information and coordinate important activities supporting our community.

  • Prayer Chaplains — A team of individuals with extensive training and a commitment to prayer with and for our church family. Available after every service. (See Chaplain Brochure for more details.)
