and Family Ministry
Just as our Sanctuary services are designed for adult issues, challenges and pleasures, our Youth Ministry programs are designed for the interests and pleasures of young people. We have a well-rounded, spiritual curriculum based on each child's age and level of understanding. For this reason, we proudly recommend that our children and teenagers attend the classes that are structured for them.

We offer our Youth Education Program during both adult services on Sunday morning. As our Volunteer Teaching Team prepares an hour-long lesson, we ask that children age 2 through 5th grade arrive
no earlier than 15 minutes before each service (thus 9:15 and 10:45
a.m. respectively) to maximize the class experience when it begins. The Teen classes (6th -12th grade) begin at
11 a.m. Prior to the end of the Service, the children and teens join the adults in the Sanctuary for a special blessing acknowledging their contribution to our spiritual family, followed by the Peace Song, then are dismissed
to the Release Room (just outside the sanctuary) where their parents may pick them up.
On your first visit to Christ Church Unity, our ushers or youth ministry Greeter will assist you in finding the right classroom(s) for your child. It is recommended that you arrive at least 15 minutes early for service as we have a classroom sign-in policy for nursery through the fifth grade. The adult who signs a child in for class must also sign them out.
Guidelines for Parents and Children
Classes for all children (birth to age 18) are available at our 9:30 and 11:00
a.m. services. Children under the age of 18 are expected to either attend class (if class is available) or be accompanied by their parents in the sanctuary during services.
DUE TO INSURANCE REGULATIONS, NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 16 MAY BE LEFT WITHOUT DIRECT SUPERVISION BY A PARENT OR GUARDIAN, IN THE CHURCH OR ON THE CHURCH GROUNDS, AT ANY TIME. THIS INCLUDES BEFORE AND AFTER SUNDAY SERVICES, MEETINGS, APPOINTMENTS, WEDDINGS, AND SOCIAL EVENTS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP IN ENSURING THAT OUR CHILDREN REMAIN SAFE AT ALL TIMES.
Hours of Operation
The Doors to the Youth & Family Ministry Area open at 9:15 and again
at 10:45 on Sunday Morning (including our Nursery). We ask that parents not enter these areas until the doors open as teachers busy preparing their rooms for the children and will not be able to give your children their full attention if they arrive early.
The Youth & Family Ministry Area and Release Room close at 12:15
p.m. on Sunday Morning. We ask that parents promptly retrieve the
children as soon as service concludes. This allows our volunteers time to clean up their class space, to pick up their own children and to spend time with their own families on Sunday after service.
